Citronella (essential oil) - Travel Tin Candle - Wooden Wick
Hand poured in Stirling, Scotland using sustainable rapeseed and coconut wax. Our Scottish candles are crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Our 100% citronella is a popular essential oil known for its powerful scent and ability to repel insects. The oil is also used in aromatherapy to help improve mood and increase mental clarity.
Citronella is a hardy plant that grows in tropical regions worldwide, and it is especially abundant in Sri Lanka.
The oil is extracted from the leaves and stems of the plant through a process of steam distillation.
Using a wooden wick candle outside can be a relaxing experience as the natural wick creates a soothing crackling sound reminiscent of a cosy campfire. The warm glow of the flame combined with the gentle flicker of the wick can create a tranquil ambience perfect for unwinding after a long day.
Approx. 30 hours of burn time.

Safety Advice:
Candles can create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere as well as add a beautiful aesthetic to a room. However, it is important to use candles safely and responsibly. Here are some tips to help you do so:
- Place candles away from flammable materials, including curtains, furniture, and other items.
- Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
- Use a proper candle holder that can contain the melted wax and catch any falling embers.
- Extinguish candles when you leave the room or go to sleep.
- Trim your candle wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting them so they will burn more slowly and evenly.
- Do not move a lit candle.
- Never use water to extinguish a candle.
- Do not burn multiple candles close together; they can create too much heat and become a fire hazard.
- For outdoor candles, make sure they are placed in a sheltered area away from the wind.
- Always use caution when lighting and extinguishing a candle.
Following these guidelines will help ensure that you enjoy the beauty of candles without putting your safety at risk.
